Dove doesn't discuss where she's from. She doesn't discuss what she used to know, or what she used to be, or what she saw the day her career at the Sanguine College ended without warning.

What she will tell you: she makes things that save lives. She has made things that ended them. She knows the difference between the two and she has learned, the hard way, that the line moves.

There is a truth she has never told anyone. Not even Shiv. She tells herself it doesn't matter anymore.
